JT: I find inspiration all around me. Whether it’s through a conversation I have with someone, personal experiences, something I see or do. I’m able to pull from those experiences and transform them into something creative.

VS: When do your ideas come to you?

JT: My ideas come at random. I always journal and jot down any thoughts/ ideas that inspire a new song. I usually write my songs at night however.

JS: Sade, Aaliyah, Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse and Stevie W

onder. Just to name a few.

VS: What’s your idea of success as an artist?

JT: My idea of success as an artist is being able to create and sing music that I am passionate about and transparent with. I also want to inspire people to keep chasing after their dreams even when things don’t seem like they are working out. It’s all a part of the journey.
