BS: I’m from Detroit and i like to say Detroit raised me but New York made me… especially when it comes to my style.

VS: Are you more of a singer or more of a song-writer?

BS: I’m a singing and performer first and then a writer.

VS: Describe the biggest obstacle you’ve had to overcome as an artist?

BS: Just having to be patient. Of course every artist wants to release a great body of work but whenever you have a great body of work the right marketing and following needs to go behind it so it’s not released for nothing.

VS: What’s a typical day like for you artistically?

BS: I get up, go through emails, cipher through tracks to see what inspires me. Some days I write. Some days i record. Some days I focus on my brand all day. Some days I perform. Every day I am doing something music or brand related.

VS: What inspires you musically?

BS: A lot of times something I’m going through or the track.

VS: When do your ideas come to you?

BS: Sometimes in my sleep. Sometimes in the shower lol or even on the toilet. On the subway. ALOT! All day every day!

VS: What is your favorite song you have written and why?

BS: “Lazy love” because i know it’s a hit and a timeless record and the process behind how i wrote it is a story to tell.

VS: What’s your favorite piece of music and why?

BS: R&B because that’s what i grew up listening to and that’s a huge part of how i learned how to sing.

VS: Who are your biggest musical influences?

BS: The late Minnie Riperton, Mariah, Beyonce, Rihanna, Whitney, Pink

VS: Which artist would you love to collaborate with and why?

BS: Bruno , Pharrell, and Andre 3000 because all three are musical legends and Bruno i just want so badly to perform live with him. We both did the cooperate wedding and event thing.

VS: Where can we expect to see you in 5 years? What are your dreams/ aspirations?

BS: In 5 years I plan to be a huge pop R&B Star/ actress with at least 2 Grammy’s under my belt.

VS: What’s your idea of success as an artist?

BS: My idea of success as an artist is when everyone knows my name and all the words to my songs all over the world.

VS: When will you feel like you’ve made it?

BS: When I’ve been able to touch as many people as possible in the world with the gift that i was given.
